Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Litigation Counsel - State Licensed, the attorney will manage litigation and consumer complaint processes remotely, serving as the primary legal lead for disputes while collaborating with compliance and operations teams to mitigate risks and optimize complaint management strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Independently manage a portfolio of litigation, arbitration, and third-party claims from intake through resolution
  • Review and respond to escalated consumer complaints, ensuring timely and compliant resolutions
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders, providing clear legal guidance and driving alignment between legal and business teams
Required Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing
  • 5+ years of experience in consumer financial services litigation, with a mix of law firm and in-house experience
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state consumer protection laws and financial services regulations
  • Experience in consumer lending and/or bank sponsorship programs preferred
  • Proven ability to manage complex litigation matters while balancing legal risk and business priorities
