LLM Fine-Tuning Engineer

Job Summary

To support innovative solutions in a remote environment, the full-time LLM Fine-Tuning Engineer will design and execute fine-tuning workflows for large language models, collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute fine-tuning experiments for large language models using various techniques
• Lead dataset construction and quality assurance processes for instruction tuning and preference data
• Build scalable training pipelines and optimize training throughput on modern distributed training frameworks

Required Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field; or equivalent experience
• Six or more years of combined ML research and engineering experience, with significant exposure to LLMs
• Strong proficiency in Python and modern deep learning frameworks, particularly PyTorch
• Hands-on experience fine-tuning transformer-based language models at a significant scale
• Familiarity with distributed training strategies and experience operating training jobs on GPU clusters
