Load Balancer Design Engineer

Job Summary

To support a growing technology team, the remote Load Balancer Design Engineer will manage the architecture, design, lifecycle management, and optimization of load balancing platforms, including F5 and VMware AVI, on a 1-year W2 contract basis.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of application delivery infrastructure, including design, deployment, upgrades, and decommissioning
• Design solutions based on industry best practices and ensure security controls are embedded into all designs
• Collaborate with global engineering and operations teams for service transition and delivery while driving service request fulfillment processes

Required qualifications

• 5-8+ years of experience in network engineering with a strong focus on load balancing and application delivery
• Hands-on expertise in F5 LTM and GTM, with experience in F5 APM and ASM modules
• Exposure to VMware AVI (NSX Advanced Load Balancer) and strong understanding of protocols like TCP/IP, HTTPS, and DNS
• Minimum 3 years of F5 Load Balancing experience and ability to design scalable, secure infrastructures
• Experience working with APIs such as F5 iControl for automation and integration
