Loan Originator Assistant

Job Summary

Supporting the full lifecycle of loans in a remote capacity, the full-time Loan Originator Assistant will facilitate loan applications, coordinate documentation, and serve as a primary point of contact for clients and Realtors throughout the mortgage process.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate the completion of loan applications and coordinate the collection of necessary documentation
• Serve as a primary point of contact between Loan Originators, clients, and referral partners throughout the loan process
• Manage a pipeline of various loan types while ensuring timely communication and follow-up with all parties involved

Required qualifications

• 3 to 5+ years of experience as a Loan Originator Assistant, Loan Partner, Processor, Loan Officer, or Underwriter preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree is a plus
• Working knowledge of Desktop Underwriter/Desktop Originator (DU/DO) and Loan Prospector (LP); Encompass experience strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of the residential mortgage banking process including various loan products
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
