Loan Processing Assistant

Job Summary

Assisting the Loan Processors, the full-time Loan Processing Assistant will review files, order supporting documents, and help prepare mortgage loans for underwriting and closing in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Request and review file documentation, ensuring completeness and appropriate data entry in the origination system
• Communicate with loan processors and other stakeholders to gather necessary documentation and resolve issues for timely loan closings
• Maintain accurate information within the Loan Processing System while managing a high volume of loans

Required qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; some college courses or degree preferred
• Knowledge of mortgage lending policies, procedures, and regulations
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
• Experience with loan processing systems is a plus
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with team members and clients
