Loan Review Lead

Job Summary

Supporting the U.S. Small Business Administration's Office of Credit Risk Management, the full-time Loan Review Lead will perform detailed reviews of 7(a) and 504 loan files to assess compliance with SBA Loan Program Requirements, while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct detailed reviews of loan files across various stages to ensure compliance with SBA regulations and requirements
• Analyze loan documentation, identify compliance issues, and prepare structured work papers and review reports
• Collaborate with SBA lenders to clarify documentation and resolve preliminary deficiencies, ensuring understanding of identified risks

Required qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a federal Public Trust
• Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of five years of experience in SBA 7(a) and/or 504 loans, or nine years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
• At least three years of experience supervising teams and fostering staff professional development
• Proven experience in reviewing loan files for compliance and risk adherence to regulatory requirements
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to document and explain loan file deficiencies and risks clearly
