Job Summary
Building a local advertising business from the ground up, the full-time Local Advertising Account Executive will leverage existing relationships to prospect, pitch, and close new local advertisers while serving as the Axios brand ambassador in Miami.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and manage a book of business by converting local relationships into advertising partnerships
- Prospect and close new local advertisers across various sectors, creating repeatable revenue streams
- Attend local events and collaborate with editorial teams to enhance community presence and brand visibility
Required qualifications
- 5-8+ years of experience in sales, digital media, advertising, or a related field
- Strong existing network and connections with local advertisers, agencies, or business leaders
- Proven ability to build and monetize a book of business
- Demonstrated success in closing new business and generating revenue from personal connections
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong hunter mentality and comfort in ambiguity
