Job Summary

To support ongoing programming needs, the remote Local Branded Content Writer will develop engaging branded content for local advertising partners, collaborating with the Branded Content Editor and local revenue teams to create community-focused marketing campaigns in Axios' Smart Brevity style.

Key responsibilities:

• Craft original sponsored content and conduct research on local issues and communities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality and consistency across multiple markets and campaign types
• Translate brand messaging into relevant and authentic stories for local audiences across various platforms

Required qualifications:

• Writing experience in branded, local editorial, or community-focused content
• Strong understanding of local audience storytelling and thought leadership
• Demonstrated ability to research and brainstorm themes that align with client goals
• Experience writing for newsletters, websites, and social media platforms
• Familiarity with small creative teams and comfort with live interviews for content creation
