Localization Consultant

Job Summary

To operationalize localization priorities, the part-time Localization Consultant will develop a practical localization strategy for the Sudan INGO Forum, conducting stakeholder consultations and establishing coordination mechanisms while working remotely with potential regional travel.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct stakeholder consultations and provide technical reviews of existing partnership practices
• Establish and support a Localization Working Group, including developing terms of reference and work plans
• Lead the co-creation of a Sudan INGO Forum Localization Strategy, including mapping national NGOs and local actors

Required qualifications

• Minimum 7-10 years of experience in humanitarian coordination, localization, or partnerships
• Strong understanding of localization policy and practice
• Experience working with national NGOs and civil society organizations
• Demonstrated facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to work in complex and politically sensitive environments
