Job Summary
Locating Desk Technician is a full-time position responsible for screening state 811 dig tickets and providing customer support via phone and email, while ensuring the protection of underground fiber lines.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and record emergency and non-emergency calls and emails
- Prioritize and address problems and requests, providing solutions as needed
- Dispatch Fiber Locators and coordinate with fiber location companies and utilities
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience reading and comprehending maps
- Willingness to work any shift based on Eastern Standard Time (EST)
- Experience in telecommunications, dispatch, or utility locating preferred
- Customer service experience
