Lock Desk Specialist

Job Summary

To support timely loan processing, the full-time Lock Desk Specialist will manage rate lock activities, ensure compliance with investor guidelines, and provide responsive service to Loan Officers and operations partners in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Produce and distribute Lock Confirmations, execute Lock Requests, and monitor the lock pipeline for accuracy
• Analyze and resolve operational issues related to rate lock mismatches and cancellations as directed by the Loan Team
• Collaborate with sales, processing, underwriting, and closing teams to maintain high levels of customer service and compliance

Required qualifications

• Minimum one year of related experience in the residential mortgage banking industry
• Preferred degree in Economics or Business, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Knowledge of Encompass, Optimal Blue, and various investor websites
• Understanding of CFPB and RESPA laws and guidelines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word
