Long-Term Care Underwriter

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Long-Term Care Senior Underwriter specializing in Medical Professional Liability.

Key Responsibilities

• Underwrite new and renewal submissions, focusing on manual and experience-rated accounts while managing existing business
• Expand new business opportunities through target accounts and brokers, conducting meetings to discuss terms and conditions
• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures, document files, and assist in financial performance monitoring and reporting

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required, preferably in insurance, risk management, or business administration
• Minimum seven years of medical professional liability underwriting experience, with at least four years in specialty underwriting
• CPCU, AIC, or ARM designations highly desired
• Understanding of insurance and medical terminology, as well as underwriting principles
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
