Long-Term Care Underwriter

Job Summary

Underwriting fully underwritten Long-Term Care cases, the full-time Long-Term Care Underwriter will analyze new business, reinstatements, and policy changes while applying established guidelines and collaborating with stakeholders in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Underwrite complex Long-Term Care cases and make sound risk decisions based on established guidelines
• Consistently apply underwriting expertise and escalate complex situations as needed
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external partners while communicating underwriting decisions clearly

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant fully underwritten Long-Term Care underwriting experience
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate complex risks and make independent decisions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective relationship-building
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other business tools, with strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting with access to high-speed internet
