Job Summary
Seeking a compassionate and experienced Long-Term Disability Claims Examiner, this full-time remote position will manage a caseload of LTD claims from intake to resolution, collaborating with claimants, employers, and medical professionals to deliver fair and timely claim decisions.
Key responsibilities:
- Independently manage a caseload of Long-Term Disability claims, conducting interviews and reviewing medical documentation
- Deliver timely and ethical claim determinations while ensuring compliance with company guidelines and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with various specialists to support informed and appropriate claim decisions throughout the claim lifecycle
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's)
- Minimum of 1 year of long-term disability claims experience directly related to the role's responsibilities
- Experience in conducting interviews and evaluating medical documentation
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Proven ability to build relationships with claimants and internal partners
