Job Summary

A company is looking for a Long Term Disability Claims Specialist who will assess eligibility for Long Term Disability benefits and review ongoing medical, vocational, and financial accuracy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expertise and support in reviewing, researching, investigating, negotiating, processing, and adjudicating Long Term Disability claims
  • Communicate ongoing status and decisions both in writing and verbally
  • Authorize appropriate payments or refer claims for validation of adverse or over limit approvals


Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma / GED or equivalent work experience
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • 1+ years of experience in reviewing and rendering initial liability determinations on Long Term Disability claims
  • 1+ years of experience issuing monthly payments on Long Term Disability claims
  • Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
