Job Summary
Evaluating and managing long-term disability claims, the full-time Long Term Disability Claims Specialist will make timely and accurate claim decisions while delivering a supportive customer experience in a virtual environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the evaluation and management of moderately complex long-term disability claims, making timely and balanced decisions
- Create clear and detailed claim documentation that reflects policy provisions and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate communication with claimants and internal partners to gather necessary information and support claim outcomes
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma and at least 1 year of disability insurance claims experience
- Critical thinking and sound judgment to assess risk and determine appropriate next steps in complex situations
- Strong communication and customer service skills for effective interaction across various stakeholders
- Creative problem-solving and organizational skills to manage complex situations and maintain workload
