Job Summary

Evaluating and managing long-term disability claims, the full-time Long Term Disability Claims Specialist will make timely and accurate claim decisions while delivering a supportive customer experience in a virtual environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the evaluation and management of moderately complex long-term disability claims, making timely and balanced decisions
  • Create clear and detailed claim documentation that reflects policy provisions and regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate communication with claimants and internal partners to gather necessary information and support claim outcomes
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma and at least 1 year of disability insurance claims experience
  • Critical thinking and sound judgment to assess risk and determine appropriate next steps in complex situations
  • Strong communication and customer service skills for effective interaction across various stakeholders
  • Creative problem-solving and organizational skills to manage complex situations and maintain workload
