Job Summary
As a full-time Long Term Disability Claims Specialist working remotely, the candidate will assess eligibility for Long Term Disability benefits, review ongoing medical and financial accuracy, and provide claims support while adhering to a Monday to Friday schedule with potential for occasional overtime.
Key responsibilities
- Providing expertise in reviewing, investigating, and adjudicating Long Term Disability claims
- Communicating ongoing status and decisions both in writing and verbally
- Authorizing appropriate payments or referring claims for further validation
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma / GED or equivalent work experience
- At least 1 year of experience with Long Term Disability claims
- Experience issuing monthly payments on Long Term Disability claims
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to work full-time during normal business hours with flexibility for overtime or weekends
