Job Summary
As a full-time remote Long-Term Disability Claims Specialist, the Recertification Claims Specialist will review approved claims for changes in definition, communicate with claimants and medical professionals, and collaborate with case managers to ensure timely and ethical claim determinations.
Key responsibilities
- Communicate with claimants, employers, and medical professionals to gather information regarding Long-Term Disability claims
- Collaborate with case managers and consulting physicians to make ethical and timely claim determinations
- Review complex medical records and utilize various tools for approval durations and future action planning
Required qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- 3-5 years of long-term disability claims experience aligned with the role's responsibilities
- Experience with disability and/or absence management is a plus
