Long Term Disability Specialist

Job Summary

Evaluating and managing long-term disability claims, the full-time Long Term Disability Claims Specialist II will make timely decisions, ensure compliance, and provide a supportive customer experience while working remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the evaluation and management of moderately complex long-term disability claims, making timely and accurate decisions
• Create detailed claim documentation and correspondence that reflect policy provisions and regulatory requirements
• Coordinate communication with claimants and internal partners to gather information and support sound claim outcomes

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma
• 1+ years of LTD/IDI disability experience
• Ability to use critical thinking and sound judgment in complex claim situations
• Strong customer service and collaboration skills
• Creative problem-solving and organizational skills to manage a consistent workload
