Job Summary
Supporting the growth of the Loss Analysis department, the full-time remote Loss Analysis Business Analyst will identify, itemize, and report mortgage servicing losses while conducting account reconciliations and root cause analysis to drive process improvements.
Key responsibilities
- Perform full account reconciliations on loans post-default, distinguishing between controllable and non-controllable losses
- Conduct detailed root cause analysis to identify primary and secondary loss drivers and communicate findings to management
- Collaborate with business units to identify process gaps and develop corrective actions to improve servicing processes
Required qualifications
- Minimum of three years of experience in mortgage servicing loss analysis, default claims, or related analytical functions
- Direct experience with FHA servicing guidelines and claims processes is required
- Hands-on experience with loan reconciliations and managing an individual inventory while meeting service-level agreements
- Strong understanding of mortgage servicing, default servicing, and claims processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions like Xlookup, Vlookup, and Pivot Tables
