Loss Mitigation Lead

Job Summary

Serving as a key point of escalation, the full-time Loss Mitigation Lead will manage loan-level pipelines, conduct compliance reviews, and collaborate with investors to determine workout options for borrowers facing hardships in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the loss mitigation team's operations and provide training and support to specialists
• Conduct timely and compliant reviews of loan files according to investor guidelines and national servicing standards
• Develop workout recommendations for borrowers, including repayment plans and modifications, while ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's Degree in finance, business, or a related field preferred
• Minimum five years of experience in loss mitigation roles, particularly as a loss mitigation underwriter
• Strong working knowledge of FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, and VA mortgage loan documents and compliance regulations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with document retention software
• Bi-lingual candidates are preferred
