Job Summary
Acting as the Single Point of Contact throughout the loss mitigation process, the full-time Loss Mitigation Liaison will manage communication with delinquent mortgage loan borrowers, assist with loss mitigation options, and ensure compliance with applicable laws while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Handle inbound and outbound calls to borrowers exploring loss mitigation options or facing foreclosure, ensuring compliance with regulations
- Document borrower interactions and provide clear explanations regarding loss mitigation decisions and foreclosure processes
- Collect and review consumer financial information to assist borrowers in completing necessary loss mitigation documents
Required qualifications
- A combined 4 years of higher education and/or work experience, including at least 1 year in collections or customer service
- Effective and professional communication skills over the phone
- Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet software
- Knowledge of compliance and operational risk controls
- Experience in mortgage collections is preferred
