Loss Mitigation Officer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Loss Mitigation Officer to manage delinquency portfolios and minimize financial loss.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage delinquent accounts by engaging members to identify default causes and offer recovery solutions
• Prepare and recommend accounts for repossession or charge-off after exhausting collection efforts
• Continuously seek opportunities to improve collection processes and maintain departmental standards

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Preferred certifications related to collections, finance, or credit risk
• Minimum two years of experience in account resolution or a comparable role in a financial institution
• Proficient knowledge of MS Office programs including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams
• Familiarity with FDCPA, UDAAP, and related regulations preferred
