Loss Mitigation SPOC

Job Summary

Serving as the primary contact for Loss Mitigation activities, the temporary Loss Mitigation SPOC will work remotely to assist borrowers facing financial hardships by identifying homeownership retention options for various loan types, managing documentation, and communicating evaluation outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a subject-matter expert for assigned loan products, ensuring compliance with investor and regulatory guidelines
• Communicate Loss Mitigation evaluation outcomes to borrowers and coordinate the receipt of necessary documents for applications
• Manage an assigned work queue to ensure timely and accurate communication with borrowers regarding their Loss Mitigation options

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree related to the position or equivalent experience preferred
• Minimum of two years of experience in a mortgage loss mitigation role
• Strong knowledge of conventional and government mortgage loan documents and related compliance regulations
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and basic data entry skills
