Loss Mitigation Underwriter

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Loss Mitigation Underwriter I.

Key Responsibilities

• Submit loan modification workups for investor workout options and manage account portfolios
• Communicate with customers, real estate agents, and attorneys to negotiate short sale settlements and advise on loss mitigation decisions
• Review customer financial documents and determine suitable repayment options, preparing workout summaries for management approval

Required Qualifications

• A combined 3 years of higher education and/or experience, including at least 1 year in collections or underwriting
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Paralegal certification or relevant experience preferred
• Mortgage collections experience preferred
• Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software
