Job Summary
Representing the Louisiana Department of Health, the full-time Louisiana Licensed Appeals Coordinator will manage appeal hearings, review decision letters, and prepare summaries of evidence while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Review decision/denial letters and draft summaries of evidence for appeal hearings
- Monitor deadlines for submission of appeal files and collaborate with internal departments for information gathering
- Conduct appeals hearings over the phone with the Division of Administrative Law
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in health and human services, social work, sociology, psychology, or a related field
- Desire to work with the public and assist adults in need
- Must be a Louisiana resident
