Louisiana Licensed Care Manager

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Care Manager, BH - Remote (Louisiana license required).

Key Responsibilities

• Authorize and review utilization of mental health and substance abuse services in inpatient and outpatient settings
• Provide telephone triage, crisis intervention, and emergency authorizations as needed
• Develop and oversee implementation of discharge plans in collaboration with providers and facilities

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Current licensure in Louisiana (CEAP, LMSW, LCSW, LSW, LPC, or RN)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare, behavioral health, psychiatric, or substance abuse settings
• Knowledge of utilization management procedures and community resources related to mental health and substance abuse
• Experience in inpatient and/or outpatient settings
• Understanding of DSM V or the most current diagnostic edition
