Job Summary
To enhance clinical documentation quality, the full-time Senior Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialist will ensure accurate and compliant documentation, collaborate with healthcare providers and coding teams, and support value-based care initiatives in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Develops and implements processes and tools to strengthen clinical documentation integrity across practices
- Educates providers and staff on best practices for clinical documentation standards
- Conducts reviews and prepares analyses to identify trends and improvement opportunities in documentation
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a related field (4 years of related experience can substitute for degree)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI) or coding
- At least 3 years of experience supporting healthcare value-based programs, including Medicare Risk
- A relevant certification (CPC, CRC, CCS P, CCS H, RHIT, CCDS, or CDIP) is required or must be obtained within 12 months of hire
- Advanced knowledge of ICD 10 coding guidelines and clinical documentation standards
