Job Summary
To support advanced practice providers, the part-time Collaborating Physician will provide clinical oversight and support, ensuring high-quality patient care through chart reviews and compliance with state regulations in a remote capacity.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the designated collaborating physician for Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants
- Review patient charts and clinical documentation to ensure quality and compliance
- Participate in meetings with NPs/PAs to discuss clinical performance and care standards
Required qualifications
- Current, active license in Louisiana (MD/DO)
- 3+ years of clinical experience post residency
- Primary specialty in Family Practice, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine
- Board Certified in Family Practice, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine preferred
- Active practice in the state and not enrolled in the Medicare Opt-Out program
