Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medication Access Specialist - Pharmacy Prior Authorization Support - Ophthalmology - Hybrid.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist providers in ensuring patient compliance with medications and the medication authorization process
• Communicate with patients and healthcare providers to maintain accurate medication history information
• Document encounters and findings in the electronic health record (EHR) for collaboration among care teams

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2 years of experience as a pharmacy technician, medical intake, or healthcare employee working with medications
• Medication Therapy Management Certification or Medication History Certificate must be obtained within 6 months
• Experience with insurance to process medication authorizations is preferred
• Experience working with outpatient clinics and processing medication refill requests is preferred
