Job Summary

To support a growing Collaborative Care (CoCM) program, the part-time contract Louisiana Licensed Psychiatric Consultant will provide evidence-based psychiatric consultation to Behavioral Health Care Managers and Primary Care Providers, guiding clinical standards and workflows while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Provide systematic psychiatric consultation and treatment recommendations to BHCMs and PCPs, focusing on high-risk and complex patients
• Utilize clinical registry systems to track patient progress and support population health management initiatives
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to enhance the integration of behavioral health services within primary care settings

Required qualifications

• MD or DO with an active, unrestricted Louisiana medical license
• Board Certified in Psychiatry (ABPN or equivalent)
• Minimum of 3+ years of clinical experience in integrated behavioral health or related fields
• Strong knowledge of evidence-based psychiatric medication management for common behavioral health conditions
• Experience utilizing measurement-based care tools and working within electronic health record systems
