Job Summary
To support a growing Collaborative Care (CoCM) program, the part-time contract Louisiana Licensed Psychiatric Consultant will provide evidence-based psychiatric consultation to Behavioral Health Care Managers and Primary Care Providers, guiding clinical standards and workflows while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Provide systematic psychiatric consultation and treatment recommendations to BHCMs and PCPs, focusing on high-risk and complex patients
- Utilize clinical registry systems to track patient progress and support population health management initiatives
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to enhance the integration of behavioral health services within primary care settings
Required qualifications
- MD or DO with an active, unrestricted Louisiana medical license
- Board Certified in Psychiatry (ABPN or equivalent)
- Minimum of 3+ years of clinical experience in integrated behavioral health or related fields
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based psychiatric medication management for common behavioral health conditions
- Experience utilizing measurement-based care tools and working within electronic health record systems
