Job Summary

Originating home loans and counseling customers in mortgage financing, the full-time Louisiana Mortgage Loan Originator will develop new business, analyze financial information, and explain loan options while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Meet with applicants to gather information for loan applications and answer questions about the mortgage process
• Analyze financial status and credit to determine loan feasibility and set reasonable expectations for applicants
• Develop relationships with realtors and community organizations to promote bank products and meet production goals

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• Three to four years of mortgage experience, particularly in secondary lending
• Working knowledge of FHA, VA, and conventional loans
• Familiarity with compliance requirements and regulations
• Experience with Calyx, Desktop Underwriting, and/or Loan Prospector
