Louisiana Reconciliation Specialist

Job Summary

Ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial reporting, the full-time Louisiana Reconciliation Specialist will perform daily reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and maintain internal controls while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Perform reconciliation of general ledger and internal deposit accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies
• Document, track, and clear all reconciling items promptly while supporting operational efficiencies and process improvements
• Investigate variances and coordinate with other departments to resolve open items, escalating exceptions to senior members as needed

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
• 4 - 7 years of experience in banking, financial services, or a similar reconciliation role
• General understanding of bank operations, payment channels (ACH, SWIFT, wires), and financial clearing processes
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and banking/accounting systems (e.g., FIS, Fiserv, Jack Henry, Oracle, SAP)
• Must reside in Louisiana or Mississippi
