Job Summary

To support students in developing critical thinking skills, the remote LSAT Tutor will conduct online tutoring sessions using the Socratic method, focusing on fostering independence and student engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct online tutoring sessions via Upswing's virtual classroom, utilizing video, audio, and chat features
• Work flexible hours based on student demand, primarily between Sunday and Thursday evenings
• Foster student independence and critical thinking through effective tutoring methodologies

Required qualifications

• Advanced knowledge in LSAT content, ideally supported by an undergraduate or graduate degree
• Experience tutoring at the college level or in a learning environment is preferred
• Access to reliable high-speed Internet and a distraction-free environment for conducting sessions
• Ability to tutor a minimum of 2-5 hours per week during the fall and spring semesters
• Strong responsiveness to session requests and availability during peak tutoring periods
