LTC and Life Underwriter

Job Summary

A company is looking for an LTC & Life Underwriter.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate insurance applicants by reviewing underwriting data and determining risk acceptance
• Contact clients to gather medical history and address any gaps while ensuring excellent customer service
• Utilize system workbenches for processing cases and maintain high customer focus through effective communication

Required Qualifications

• Minimum two years of life or LTC underwriting experience with proficiency in underwriting processes
• Familiarity with medical terminology and conditions
• Strong PC and typing skills, including proficiency in Microsoft applications
• Ability to work in a team environment while managing complex workloads independently
• Completion of LOMA 280/281 and 290/291 is preferred
