Job Summary
Leading the Statutory and GAAP valuation process for Long-Term Care (LTC) products, the full-time LTC Valuation Actuary will manage a team, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and drive process improvements, while working remotely or from the Richmond, VA office.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the valuation process for LTC products, ensuring accurate and timely reporting in compliance with regulations
- Manage and develop a team of actuaries and actuarial students, providing direction and training
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, external audit requirements, and accounting standards
Required qualifications
- BS/BA Degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or a related field
- Fellow of Society of Actuaries (FSA) designation, career Associate (ASA), or equivalent experience
- 8+ years of actuarial experience, with at least 5 years focused on Valuation & Financial reporting for LTC products
- Strong leadership experience with the ability to manage and motivate an actuarial team
- Experience with actuarial valuation and/or projection systems, with proven modeling and analytical skills
