M&A Associate

Job Summary

Leading financial analysis and project valuation, the full-time M&A Associate will conduct advanced financial modeling, prepare stakeholder materials, and support portfolio acquisitions in a remote capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct advanced financial modeling and valuation for solar and storage projects, ensuring accuracy and supporting profitability assessments
• Prepare internal and external materials for project stakeholders, including investment committee memos and market summaries
• Coordinate diligence and contribute to commercial negotiations for project acquisitions while collaborating with cross-functional teams

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a quantitative field with relevant coursework or experience in renewable energy
• 2-4 years of experience in renewable energy, investment banking, or project finance focused on the U.S. renewable energy market
• Strong understanding of project finance concepts and community solar policies
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial modeling for solar and storage assets
• Practical experience using AI productivity tools to enhance research and analysis workflows
