Machine Learning Detection Engineer

Job Summary

Focused on enhancing detection capabilities, the full-time remote Machine Learning Detection Engineer will analyze detection data, manage false positive detections, and investigate malware to improve customer threat detection processes.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze detection data and customer reports to identify improvements in machine learning models
• Perform tasks to manage and reduce false positive detections
• Investigate binary files to assess their legitimacy and review product detections for compliance with company standards

Required qualifications

• Exposure to and understanding of various types and functionalities of malware
• Experience with reverse engineering malware or malware operations
• Knowledge of programming and scripting languages, particularly Python
• Fundamental understanding of binary file attributes, including imports/exports and packers
• General understanding of threat and risk management principles
