Machine Learning Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Machine Learning Engineer II - Scene Understanding.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and train machine learning models for scene understanding, including object detection and road prediction
• Implement production-quality code to support model training, evaluation, and inference within the perception stack
• Analyze model performance, identify failure modes, and propose improvements for robustness in various driving conditions

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Machine Learning, or a related technical field with at least 4 years of experience, or a Master's degree with at least 2 years of experience
• Strong understanding of computer vision and foundational machine learning concepts
• Experience applying machine learning techniques in autonomous systems or complex control environments
• Robust programming skills in Python and PyTorch, with experience in production-quality code
• Experience in training and evaluating machine learning models using large datasets and adaptive computing environments
