Machine Learning Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Staff Machine Learning Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, scale, build, evaluate, integrate, ship, and refine reward signals for recommendations through hands-on ML development
• Promote and role-model best practices of ML systems development, testing, and evaluation within the team and organization
• Lead collaborations and align across teams to integrate and A/B test mid-term signals in various recommendation systems

Required Qualifications

• Strong background in machine learning with expertise in statistics and optimization, particularly in sequential models, transformers, and generative AI
• Hands-on experience with large cross-collaborative machine learning projects and stakeholder management
• Experience implementing production machine learning systems at scale using Java, Scala, Python, or similar languages
• Familiarity with large scale, distributed data processing frameworks/tools like Apache Beam or Apache Spark
• Understanding of agile software processes, data-driven development, and disciplined experimentation
