Machine Learning Engineer

Job Summary

To enhance customer operations through automation, the remote full-time Machine Learning Engineer II will develop AI systems for dispute and chargeback handling, build models for faster refunds, and maintain evidence extraction pipelines while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop AI systems that automate dispute and chargeback handling using structured evidence and business logic
• Build models that automate refunds to expedite the process for customers
• Collaborate with Engineering, Servicing Operations, Product, and ML Platform to define requirements and communicate results

Required qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a machine learning engineer
• Strong Python skills and experience writing production-quality code
• Experience with tabular classification models, preferably using gradient-boosted decision trees
• Familiarity with LLM APIs for structured extraction and prompt engineering
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience
