Job Summary

To enhance Reddit's ads marketplace, the remote Machine Learning Engineer will design and implement optimization algorithms for auction and bidding systems, ensuring advertiser performance and user experience while managing projects from conception to deployment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement models for auction bidding strategies and budget pacing to optimize advertiser outcomes
• Translate product and marketplace goals into optimization problems, ensuring efficient ad allocation and user experience
• Collaborate with Ads Marketplace Quality to improve ad matching and integrate new bidding strategies into the ads ecosystem

Required qualifications

• 3-5+ years of experience in building and deploying machine learning systems in production
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, Go, or similar languages
• Experience with scalable data processing systems like Spark, Kafka, or BigQuery
• Ability to translate ambiguous business problems into measurable solutions
• Background in a quantitative field (math, physics, economics) or relevant optimization experience
