Machine Learning Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Machine Learning Engineer to work remotely in a full-time capacity, focusing on developing intelligent document understanding solutions using natural language processing (NLP) and large language models (LLMs), while building and optimizing pipelines for transforming complex technical documentation into structured, machine-actionable knowledge.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain NLP pipelines for technical document understanding, including information extraction and summarization
• Build and optimize LLM-powered applications using transformer-based models and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) architectures
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver AI-enabled document intelligence solutions

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI/Machine Learning, or a related technical field
• 2-4 years of experience building NLP pipelines for technical document understanding
• Hands-on experience with large language models (LLMs) and transformer architectures, including fine-tuning and prompt engineering
• Strong proficiency in Python and modern machine learning frameworks, including PyTorch and Hugging Face Transformers
• Currently holds or can obtain a U.S. national security clearance
