Job Summary
To enhance power grid analysis, the remote Machine Learning Engineer will focus on building foundational model capabilities in computer vision, adapting algorithms from research, and delivering end-to-end projects such as equipment defect detection and thermal anomaly identification.
Key responsibilities
- Stay current with ML/CV research, evaluating methods for applicability to power grid analysis
- Own and deliver end-to-end computer vision projects, including defect detection and vegetation monitoring
- Design and implement data pipelines and model serving pipelines that meet performance requirements
Required qualifications
- 2-4 years of industry experience in computer vision and machine learning
- Solid understanding of modern computer vision techniques, including object detection and image classification
- Experience adapting published methods to specific use cases and validating against baselines
- Proficiency in Python and core ML libraries such as PyTorch, OpenCV, and Scikit-Learn
- Strong software engineering practices, including Git version control and CI/CD pipelines
