Job Summary

Supporting the USPTO P-TACTS program, the full-time Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Engineer will design, build, and deploy production AI and ML solutions, focusing on large language models and scalable cloud deployments in AWS and Databricks.

Key responsibilities
  • Design and implement AI and ML solutions to meet mission needs, collaborating with government stakeholders and technical teams
  • Deploy and maintain machine learning workloads in cloud environments, particularly AWS
  • Utilize frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch to develop and optimize machine learning models
Required qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of applied experience in machine learning and AI engineering
  • Strong proficiency in Python and experience with ML frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch
  • Practical knowledge of large language models and retrieval augmented generation architectures
  • Eligibility to obtain a USPTO Public Trust and authorization to work in the U.S
