Seeking a highly skilled Machine Learning Scientist for a fully remote, permanent position focused on conducting original machine learning research and developing next-generation biological foundation models, with responsibilities including designing and training models across multimodal biological datasets.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and train foundation models using multimodal biological datasets
• Develop novel approaches for integrating information across various biological scales
• Independently own research initiatives from ideation through experimentation and conclusions

Required qualifications

• PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related quantitative field
• Strong track record of original machine learning research with first-author publications at top-tier conferences
• Experience in building and training machine learning models independently
• Ability to design robust evaluation methodologies and perform rigorous analysis
• Demonstrated independent thinking and innovation in research execution
