Machine Translation Post-Editor

Job Summary

Freelancing remotely, Machine Translation Post-Editors with Portuguese-Portugal will perform light and full post-editing on machine translation outputs, ensuring quality and adherence to client specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure target text accurately reflects the source meaning and meets client expectations
• Provide corrections and text optimization based on machine translation outputs
• Maintain high grammatical accuracy while adhering to post-editing guidelines and project instructions

Required qualifications

• Degree in Translation, Applied Linguistics, or equivalent experience
• Native speaker of Portuguese-Portugal
• Experience in Machine Translation Post-Editing (MTPE) required
• Familiarity with Translation Memory tools and Translation Management Systems (TMS)
• Excellent command of the English language in both comprehension and writing
