Job Summary

Providing essential outreach and support services, the full-time hourly Maine Certified Peer Navigator will engage with individuals experiencing homelessness in York and Cumberland County, linking them to resources and case management while working in a hybrid schedule with some required in-office attendance.

Key responsibilities
  • Conduct outreach and engagement to identify and support homeless individuals and families
  • Provide non-clinical peer support and resource information to PATH members and collaborate with case managers
  • Attend program staff meetings, supervision meetings, and required training sessions to maintain certification
Required qualifications
  • Intentional Peer Support Specialist Certification or ability to obtain provisional certification within 12 months of hire
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional relevant lifelong learning preferred
  • Experience receiving services related to mental illness or co-occurring substance use disorder, with a commitment to recovery
  • Ability to navigate community resources and advocate for self and others
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and email
