Job Summary

A company is looking for a Crisis Support Specialist to join the Maine Crisis Line program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build rapport with help seekers by showing empathy and creating a safe, non-judgmental space
  • Complete risk assessments to ensure the safety and well-being of callers experiencing a crisis
  • Develop crisis stabilization plans with callers, prioritizing their well-being and autonomy
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
  • Associate's degree is required
  • One year of relevant experience preferred, including work in behavioral health or human services
  • Ability to earn the MHRT-CSP certification within 30 days of employment
  • Previous experience in a call center or customer service environment is a plus
  • Must pass a criminal background check and meet other compliance requirements
