Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medical Director to provide senior clinical leadership and expertise in behavioral health and substance use services.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee clinical decision-making and provide guidance on medical aspects of the program
• Represent the company in administrative appeal hearings and provide independent clinical judgment
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements while promoting business development

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of active clinical practice
• 5+ years of experience as a physician executive with accomplishments in managed care strategies
• Current medical license (MD or DO) as a psychiatrist in the state of Maine
• Board certification in a clinical specialty in the state of Maine
